About Us

- Tufts's Peer Support Hotline -

Ears for Peers is a student-run, anonymous, and confidential hotline for Tufts students when they need someone to reach out to. During the school year, students may reach out to us via phone or text every night from 7 pm to 7 am.

Every semester, we receive about 200 calls/texts. People call/text for many reasons, including but not limited to: difficulties with academics, the college transition, romantic relationships, depression, anxiety, body image, and friends/family struggles.

We also receive calls and texts regarding sexual assault, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts. All Ears are trained to respond to these situations properly. With that said, we are not therapists or a supervised suicide prevention hotline, but we are able to refer callers to resources that may be able to better support them.

Don't hesitate to reach out to us about anything that's on your mind! Every reason is valid, and we are here for you.
